Assessment Programs
Corporate Wellness Consulting Let the Consultants from Professional and Personal Wellness get your program started off on the right foot. With over 15 years of experience we can help you build an efficient and effective program. We will help you develop a wellness committee, assess your current CVD risk factors, define employee interests, develop an annual plan, build community partnerships, and much more.
Fitness Assessment Knowledge is a key to prevention, so keeping abreast of your state of physical health and ability is vital to staying healthy! A caring professional will conducted a one-on-one assessment in a confidential manner. Fitness assessments reveal both strengths and areas needing improvement. Areas to be assessed include:
- BMI (Body Mass Index)
- Percent Body Fat/Lean Mass Analysis
- Blood Pressure
- Total Cholesterol, HDL, Glucose (all non-fasting)
- Tobacco Use
- Exercise Habits
- Age
- Family History of CVD
- Personal History of CVD
- Orthopedic Concerns
- Personal Activity Interests
A consultant will provide an action plan, doctor referrals for all high risk areas, and on-going follow-up based on risk level. After a fitness assessment is completed, the individual receives a complete report sent to their home. Consultants are always available to answer questions in-between assessments. By receiving regular attention, individuals are continually motivated to follow-through with lifestyle changes. Individuals are often able to gain improvements before medical intervention is necessary.
Fitness Assessment Follow-Up Six months after the initial assessment a consultant will meet with the individual to: Update Healthy History, check Blood Pressure and recheck any high risk areas.
Functional Flexibility Assessment The ability to move through space is dependent on the person’s flexibility. By accessing the individual’s rage of motion (flexibility) the consultant can determine areas of need. Exercises (stretches) will be given to the individual to improve those areas.
Functional Strength Assessment The ability to do task (work) is dependent on the strength the person has. By accessing the individual’s strength the consultant can determine areas of need. Exercises will be given to the individual to improve those areas of need.
